How the music in churches has changed. The standard hymns are being replaced with “contemporary” and the hymns used to give the right setting for a worship service. The pianos and organs are being replaced by guitars and drums, and the amplifiers with a volume-control setting of one through ten are being set on eleven. The organ in our church was transferred to the upper level for storage, which gives a new meaning to the expression “organ transplant.”
