This letter is in regards to the Dec. 3 article in The Lima New’s about businesses in the lower courts fighting to be “spared” from having to cover some or “all” forms of contraception.
I use quotation marks for a reason.
I find it ironic that the article’s headline is titled, “A New Approach.”
It’s the OLD approach … someone trying to push their beliefs on how someone else should plan their family. Oh, I’m sure money isn’t involved. Come on, let’s go forward, not backward. Do you know that the main problem of companies is paying for oral contraceptives for women?
I have a few questions to pose to the CEO and managers of Hobby Lobby. Have any of you ever had a vasectomy or had their fallopian tubes tied and your insurance paid for it?
Would the insurance company that you offer be willing to provide for the health care of a child of your employee for 18 or 26 years? Yes, 26 years if they can afford college.
Have you ever contributed to any unwed mother’s funds?
Your employees pay for their insurance for a reason.
Needless to say, you know where I won’t be shopping.
