OK the fact is, we all have problems and we all have issues, that’s not going to change. We must work through them as people with courage and do our best every day to simply stay positive and enjoy this one life we have.
I am currently in prison right now for breaking the law and taking life for granted. Something I will never do again.
This time in prison has brought me closer to God and taught me to respect life. I just want to remind you all on the other side of this fence at Allen Correctional Institution that life is beautiful and you should learn to enjoy it, if you’re not already. The joy of being with your family, going out to eat, going to work, church and just living life is so priceless, when I sit and think about it.
Children, stay out of trouble and respect your parents, but also parents need to love each other and grow together, not apart.
Yes, I know things could be better, but they could also be worse. Don’t focus on what you don’t have, but focus on what you do have.
Some of the guys that I am in here with have been in here my whole life of 32 years and some are never going home. That’s honestly what made me want to write this letter, to the people outside here.
Please don’t take life for granted and if you need a reason, let this be one. Never give up on doing what’s right.
May God bless you all.
