This letter is in reference to the young man who was murdered on June 11.
I did not know the person nor do I know any of his family, but I cried. I cried for his mother, I cried for his family, I cried for our community. What is happening, that such a senseless thing should occur?
I remember being young and there were fistfights and two days later the participants were friends again.
Please don’t take something that you can’t give back, one death is one too many. Please friends, family and others let the justice system play out.
My heart goes out to all who knew and loved him. May God give you solace and peace.
Again, young people, “Put the guns down.”
