The Mid-Ohio chapter of the national Lincoln Highway Association visited the Galion Library with a stocking stuffer on Wednesday. Director Vicki Eckenrod accepted a copy of the Lincoln Highway’s special Centennial book by author Brian Butko, Photos Through Time. Mike and Nancy Hocker, resident chapter members presented the book. The coffee-table style book features photos and captions of the road both yesterday and today, telling stories of signage, dining, lodging and attractions along the way.

The book will be located in the Library’s Ohio Room.

The Mid-Ohio chapter of the Lincoln Highway Association meets monthly and includes interested individuals from Upper Sandusky to Wooster. An eastern and western chapter complete the Ohio League. Thirteen states that the Lincoln Highway crossed are represented in the national association’s membership, along with many more enthusiasts across the U.S. and the world.
