Modern Woodmen of America gave almost $270K in 2016 in NW Ohio


OTTAWA — Modern Woodmen of America donated almost $269,000 in 2016 to community organizations in northwest Ohio, with funds focused on supporting social, educational and volunteer activities.

The fraternal financial services organization’s members also volunteered a total of 3,442 hours in northwest Ohio, donating to food banks, beautifying parks and helping individuals in need. Modern Woodman financial representatives also gave 54 free youth educational programs last year to area schools, educating almost 3,800 children on financial literacy, civics and citizenship.
