NEW BREMEN — The Southwestern Auglaize Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has announced that Logan O’Neill, 26, of New Bremen, has been named executive director of the organization, effective Monday.

O’Neill replaces Scott Frey, who resigned in March to accept a position with a private firm.

“I’m looking forward to helping our business and community residents within the golden triangle,” O’Neill told the Sidney Daily News Thursday. “We have some of the best businesses in Ohio. The mission of the chamber is to actively work to support our community through our businesses.”

The new director is a 2006 graduate of New Bremen High School. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Bluffton University in 2010, spent a year and a half as the onboarding and marketing specialist at Lima Memorial Health System and, most recently, concluded four months doing business development for a website design firm, Marketing Essentials, in New Bremen.

“The challenge for me will be finding out what’s worked in the past and what hasn’t worked and providing new benefits for our members that offer the best member value to those businesses,” O’Neill said.

O’Neill will begin work in the office in New Bremen on Monday. The chamber will host a welcome reception for him in the coming weeks.
