FINDLAY — The Findlay Police Department made an arrest after they said a motorcyclist fled from police officers trying to make a traffic stop at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

An officer said he attempted to pull over Kenneth H. Beasley, 20, of Findlay, for a traffic stop in the 14400 block of county Road 212. Beasley, operating a 2013 Suzuki GSXR750 motorcycle, failed to comply, increasing his speed in an attempt to flee the officer, officials said.

Beasley continued east on county Road 212 and turned south onto county Road 236 until reaching the Wal-Mart parking lot at 2310 Tiffin Ave. He continued east on Tiffin Avenue and east out of the Findlay corporation limit on U.S. 224, reaching speeds in excess of 130 miles per hour. The driver finally came to a stop in a parking lot at 2860 U.S. 224 at the intersection of U.S. 23 in Alvada, officials said.

Beasley was charged with failing to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. He was incarcerated at the Hancock County Justice Center. The pursuit lasted nine minutes and covered 13 miles. There were no injuries.
