LIMA — The trial for a man accused of robbing and attacking a 67-year-old woman with a hammer has been pushed back to Aug. 19.

Keith Maidon asked the judge Wednesday for more time while he addresses some issues with his family. His trial was scheduled for July 15.

Maidon, 46, is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of felonious assault, and one count of robbery. He was arrested Dec. 4 in connection with the two robberies at CVS Pharmacy at 900 Bellefontaine Ave. The second robbery was a day before his arrest after a robber approached the 67-year-old woman in the parking lot and tried to steal her purse.

The robber struck her in the head several times with a hammer but was unable to get her purse. He ran from the area. CVS employees stopped the attack. The other robbery happened Nov. 7 at the pharmacy.
