LIMA — Helen E. Long, of Lima, will celebrate her 90th birthday Nov. 25, 2013.
She was born Nov. 25, 1923 to Raymond E. and Carroll Marie Kerr. She was the fifth of eight children. On Nov. 15, 1942, she married Jame F. Long. Their wedding was the first wedding in the Olive Chapel Church near Warsaw, Ohio in Allen County. Her husband died Sept. 28, 2003 after 61 years of marriage.
She has three children, Carroll (John) Hefner, of Cairo, David (Heather) Long, of Spencerville and Rick (Linda) Long, of Boiling Springs, S.C. Long has six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one step-grandchild and one step-great-grandchild.
Long and her husband operated Long’s Jewelry for many years.
She loves church activities, playing games, sewing lap throws, baking pies and being with her family.
