LIMA — Mr. and Mrs. Jack Haines, of Lima, will celebrate 50 years of marriage Aug. 23, 2014. A family dinner is planned. They took a cruise down the Mexican Riviera, and an Alaskan cruise is planned for a later date. The couple request that gifts be omitted.
Haines and the former Judith H. Robinson were married Aug. 23, 1964, at the First Presbyterian Church, in St. Marys, by the Rev. Burris.
They are the parents of one son, Timothy Alan (Denise) Haines, of Lima; and one daughter, Michelle Ann (Chris) Adair, of Lebanon. They have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Haines retired after 17 years as auditor of the Metropolitan Bank and Guardian Express of Wapakoneta. His wife retired after 45 years as a registered nurse with both Lima Memorial and St. Rita’s, and then worked as COHN at Teledyne Ohio Steel and Durez, of Kenton and numerous factory clinics in the Lima area.
