LIMA — Three of Lima’s most wanted men, accused of killing people in three separate homicides, were captured out of state in the past five days, the Lima Police Department announced today.
Cory L. Jackson and Terry C. Williams, 27, were both captured in Detroit. Rione Gray was captured near St. Louis, Missouri, Lima Police Det. Steve Stechschulte said.
Police are making arrangements to extradite the men to Lima to face charges, Stechschulte said. Once back, the men are expected to appear at bond hearings at Lima Municipal Court.
Gray is charged with murder in connection with the Nov. 21 shooting death of 35-year-old Ryan VanBuskirk, of Wapakoneta, in the 700 block of Catalpa Avenue. Chaz Jackson, 21, also is charged with murder and wanted in the slaying.
Jackson, 20, is charged with murder in the shooting death of 20-year-old Amari Gooding, who was shot dead outside the Main Street Pub at 318 N. Main St., on Oct. 8.
Williams is charged with murder in the Aug. 18 shooting death of 29-year-old Edward Henry at the Lima Estates Apartments at 760 E. Fourth St. Another man, Devonte Malik Andrews, 20, also is charged with murder and wanted in Henry’s slaying.
The men were captured over the weekend when they came in contact with police in those areas. Jackson and Williams were captured separately and were not together, Stechschulte said.
