New RTA bus dedicated to employees who served country

LIMA — The Regional Transit Authority has a new red, white and blue bus dedicated to the employees of RTA that have served the country.

The bus was purchased through an Ohio Transit Preservation Partnership Program Grant to improve the environment, as a 1998 bus was replaced. This grant was a 100 percent funding source.

The veteran employees of RTA include drivers Jim Weeks, Gary Knepper, Calvin Foster, Phillip Higley and Daniel O’Loughlin and maintenance manager John Melone. These names will be printed on the driver’s side of the bus.
