Wonderful, the UAW has just endorsed President Joe Biden, a man whose policies will cut 40% of their jobs when the auto industries switch over to electric vehicles. Actually, it will most likely cost even more jobs, as the American public does not want and will not buy a vehicle which will leave them stranded with a discharged battery that can take hours to recharge.

On Jan. 21, 85 staff members, friends and volunteers from Heartbeat of Lima and Putnam County braved the frigid temperature to walk from Lima Central Catholic High School to the Heartbeat office at 421 S. Cable Road, in support of the sanctity of human life. For 51 years, Heartbeat of Lima has been affirming the value of life and assisting clients who need support during pregnancy and while raising their young children.

As a grandparent, I am concerned about Big Tobacco’s enormous toll on our state. To reduce tobacco’s negative impact on Ohio, I am calling on Sen. Rob McColley not to support a vote to override Gov. DeWine’s veto of legislation that will limit local control.

We have been without a pool since 2019. The new Lima Aquatic Center is not set to be complete till 2025; we will be five full years without a pool.

It did not surprise me to see that the new Elida school board members introduced a change to the bathroom policy, as that is what they campaigned on to win the seats to the board. Adding it as a “last-minute addition” was very clever, which surprised the other members who asked that it be tabled until the next meeting.
