Glory Way Quartet to appear in concert

Jesse Duplantis, Ted Shuttlesworth to appear in Botkins

BOTKINS — Only Believe Ministries in Botkins will have two special services with the Rev. Jesse Duplantis at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 7 and 10 a.m. Jan. 8. Duplantis is an evangelist who has traveled since 1978 preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Only Believe Ministries will also host four Miracle Revival Services with the Rev. Ted Shuttlesworth at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 8 and at 7 p.m. Jan. 9 to 11. Shuttlesworth began preaching the Gospel in the summer of 1976. Since that time, his weekly telecast, Faith Alive, has grown, and is now seen in over 100 nations of the world. The nursery will be open, and classes will be available for children age 2 through fourth grade on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. Trinity UMC in Delphos to hold annual Christmas Bazaar

DELPHOS — Trinity United Methodist Church will hold its largest fundraiser of the year from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The bazaar will include a general store, and beef or ham dinners will be served from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Carry-outs will be available. Adult tickets are $8.50; children 12 and under $4. The event is at Trinity’s Family Life Center, 702 Ambrose Drive, behind Arby’s.

Riley Creek Carol Sing announced

RILEY CREEK — Riley Creek United Methodist Church invites the community to its 45th annual Christmas Carol Sing at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Like an old-fashioned songfest around the piano, the program will feature congregational singing of many traditional carols, as well as readings from Scripture, special performances by the Pandora United Methodist Church Choir, Ottawa SS. Peter & Paul Choir, other musicians, and a candle lighting ceremony. Since 1972 this special service in a little church built by pioneers has provided an uplifting way to get into the Christmas spirit. The church is located southeast of Ottawa and northwest of Pandora at the intersection of Putnam County Roads M and 7-L (7102 County Road M), across from Putnam Stone Co.

Senior luncheon to be held at Westside UMC

LIMA — Westside United Methodist Church, 604 Gloria Drive, will host a senior luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Friday. Holiday concert comes to Coldwater

COLDWATER — Holy Trinity Church, 120 W. Main St., has announced Sounds of the Season, a concert of Advent and Christmas music will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday. The public is invited to come and listen to choirs and instrumentalists from these parishes: St. Anthony; St. Henry; St. John the Baptist Church, Maria Stein; and Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. The grand finale will feature one of Joel Raney’s series of top-selling piano/organ duets, with SATB choir entering at the conclusion. This setting is a beautiful combination of three melodies: “Joy to the World,” “Rejoice, Greatly” from Handel’s Messiah, and “O Come, All Ye Faithful.” It is a perfect musical piece for a Christmas service. It will be performed with Jared Post (piano), Ron Johnson (organ), the Combined Choirs and conducted by Father Ralph Verdi, C.PP.S. (organist and composer). Following the concert, refreshments will be available in the church basement. A freewill offering is appreciated with the proceeds going to State of the Heart Hospice.

Overcoming worry to be discussed at Lifetree Cafe

VAN WERT — Practical suggestions for dealing with worry will be offered at Lifetree Café from 7 to 8 p.m. Dec. 8. The program, titled “Overcoming Worry: Practical Help, Simple Solutions,” will feature a filmed interview with Cheryl Eresman, a clinical counselor, as well as a screening of the short film “God Box.” During the program, participants will explore coping mechanisms that help fight anxiety. St. Nick to visit the Shrine at Maria Stein
