The word of God speaks a lot about the glory of God. I am wondering how many Christians really know what the glory is, and where it can be found.
The Lord has been speaking to me concerning the glory and why much of the church has never experienced His glory. In Matthew 3:11, the Apostle John says, I indeed baptize you with unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. In verse 12: Whose fan is in, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into His garner; but he will burn the chaff with an unquenchable fire.
Another place where the word speaks of the glory is in John 17:22: And the glory which thou gavest me, I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one.
Think about this. God has given Himself fully and completely to us through His son Jesus. Therefore, we have been made partakers of this love through Jesus. We are God’s gift to His son Jesus Christ. Jesus is the gift of Love to us. Hear this, God is glorified through us. What a revelation.
When we are born again, we receive the glory living on the inside of us. The Father has a plan to make known His love for His son through you and I.
Now, it is up to us to come in alignment with the Father and son, and connect to the glory that is within. We know that that is not a real easy task or we would see much more of the glory upon this earth. The more of the Lord Jesus we receive, the more of the glory we will receive.
There are several keys to walking in the glory of the Lord. First is learning to be led by the Holy Spirit, obedience to the Word of God and the things of the Lord, in intimacy and true worship of the Lord. We know that God is glorified in the Son, and Christ is glorified us. Therefore, we are to take the glory into the world.
Absolute key to tapping into the glory is our dependence upon the Lord Jesus — total dependence. The pattern for the tabernacle is clearly in the word of God. The Tabernacle was built with the outer court — the place of cleansing — the inner-court — the place of the light, the Word of God — and the incense representing the prayers of the saints, then the Holy of Holies — where the glory of the Lord resides, a place where light is not necessary because the glory is the illumination. This example is to be on the inside of us, the house which is built without human hands.
When is the church going to get it together and allow the glory which is within to come forth and blind the works of the Devil? The Lord Jesus was one with the Father. Jesus said that He only did what he saw the Father do, and He only said what He heard the Father say. Remember this, His glory must be appropriated, this is so holy, the fullness of the Lord is actually available to us all. However we must proceed through the process of its availability to us.
Heaven is to come to earth by us and the glory is to be manifested through us. While Jesus was on the cross, remember His last words were, “It is finished.” Now it is up to you and I.
