The Heart of Christmas Tour coming to Pandora UMC

PANDORA — Folk singer Kerry Patrick Clark will celebrate the release of his eighth studio album, “The heart of Christmas,” with a concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Pandora United Methodist Church. Clark is a former New Christy Minstrel, a chart-topping Americana and Christian musician, and a recording artist who tours nationally. His songs grapple with issues of war and loss alongside the Christian themes of miracles and faith. He also pays homage to what might be the most treasured and reviled dessert in history: the fruitcake. As an added bonus for anyone who has not had the pleasure of experiencing Kerry perform live, he includes a humorous rant against holiday consumerism. The Heart of Christmas is just that: filled with heart. It makes room for a broad range of conflicting emotions and ultimately leads us back to the reason we celebrate, which is love. The concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be taken and CDs will be available for purchase. 108 E. Washington St (Rt. 12). For information, call 419-384-3905.

We’ll look at the trends and invite the public’s input on what’s happening.” Everyone, regardless of faith affiliation or non-affiliation, is welcome to participate in this public forum. 7 p.m., Dec. 1.
