LIMA — Funnyman and watermelon-bashing Gallagher will be at The Ohio Theatre Saturday night. There are a limited number of seats left.
“We partnered with 104.9 The Eagle and the morning show’s Phil Austin, Billy and Leslie to bring this show to Lima. We have 60 seats left out of 456 total seats available,” said Kelly Saddler, Owner of The Ohio Theatre. “The splash zone seating is sold out. That was the first area that sold out.”
Gallagher turned 70, and this is his final concert tour, per his representative.
“This is his 70th birthday bash. I believe sometime in June was his 70th birthday and according to his reps, this is kind of like his last hurrah. This is his final tour, he’s 70 and he’s done. We are lucky enough to get him to Lima because he hasn’t been here in eight years,” Saddler said.
Gallagher likes to mingle with the crowd before his shows.
“I was told he does meet and greets like an hour before the show. He will be out mingling with the crowd as they come in. He doesn’t charge anything extra for that. He just enjoys meeting people. So people can bring their cellphones and cameras and take pictures and whatnot. There will be an area for photo opportunities as well,” Saddler said.
The Saddlers are happy with the response to Gallagher’s appearance at The Ohio Theatre.
“It has been a really good response from Lima wanting him here. We are glad he’s coming and looking forward to it,” said Saddler.
