NEW BREMEN —The 42nd annual Bremenfest is being held this weekend.

“Bremenfest gives an opportunity for families to get together before school starts. Celebrate before the end of summer,” said Rob Ashman, president of Bremenfest.

The event’s longevity can be credited back to the community as well.

“The community keeps it going. We have a strong community oriented environment. A pride within. We enjoy celebrating and giving back to the community and it all ties in,” said Ashman.

Bremenfest is packed full of entertaining things to do for everyone in the community.

“It’s action packed, full of different things for someone to do,” said Ashman. “We have free entertainment. Back to back entertainment throughout the day. We have different types of music, not your cookie-cutter music, but very appealing to everyone.”

Some of the events include kids rides, games of chance, run/walks, chili cook-of, car show, volleyball, fishing derby, punt/pass and kick competition, cornhole tournament and dodgeball tournament, just to name a few.
