Opiate/heroin epidemic town hall meeting planned
KALIDA — There will be an opiate/heroin epidemic town hall meeting held at 6 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Kalida K of C Hall, 718 Napoleon Road. This meeting will last approximately 90 minutes.
There will be educational forums and speakers from state and local resources; local people that have overcome addiction; local people affected by addiction; and local recovery services.
Max’s Trader Days and Water Dog Races scheduled
LIMA — Max’s Traders Days and Water Dog Races will be coming to the Allen County Fairgrounds Sept. 2 to 4.
Tickets are $10 for one day, or three-day passes are $20. Early bird passes are $30.
There are more than 1,000 vendors and traders at this event.
Niswonger brings Colton Dixon and a capella Vocalosity
VAN WERT — Tickets are available for the Colton Dixon concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16 and a capella group Vocalosity concert coming to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22.

Lupus new patient education class scheduled
LIMA — The Lupus Foundation of America, Greater Ohio Chapter will hold its monthly New Patient Education Class in Lima at 11 a.m. Aug. 27 at the Lima Public Library, 650 W. Market St.
This class covers basic information about managing lupus and living well. The foundation welcomes anyone who wishes to learn. Registration is required.
