Wapak Chamber seeing entries for parade
WAPAKONETA — The Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking entries for the 2016 Halloween Parade, starting at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20.
The parade will begin from the Auglaize County Fairgrounds and march east on Auglaize Street through downtown Wapakoneta.
Area clubs, organizations, businesses, churches and individuals are invited to participate in this event. Parade applications are due by Oct. 1. Registration forms are available at the Chamber office, 16 E. Niswonger offers Diamond Rio tickets
VAN WERT — Tickets are currently available for purchase for the Diamond Rio concert coming to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29.
Tickets can be purchased online beginning at $25 at www.npacvw.org and through the box office open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. or calling the box office at 419-238-6722.
Auditions for fall production planned
WAPAKONETA — The Wapakoneta Theatre Guild is holding auditions for its fall production of “Greetings.”
Auditions will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Chamber of Commerce Office, 30 East Auglaize St. The casting calls for three men and two women varying in ages from 20s to 70s.
Production dates are Sept. 30, Oct. 1 and 2 and Oct. 7, 8 and 9.
Riverside Art Center call for entries
WAPAKONETA — Riverside Art Center has announced that entries will be taken for the Wapakoneta Community Art Center from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 19 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 20. No artwork will be accepted before or after these dates. The art center is located at 3 W. Auglaize St.
A completed entry form and a nonrefundable entry fee of $5 per entry for the Riverside members and $7 per entry for non-members entitles the artist to enter up to seven original works. Entry form must accompany artwork. This is a juried show.
This exhibit is open to artists 18 years of age and older from Auglaize County and any county that abuts Auglaize County. Original artwork only. All mediums are acceptable.
There is more than $1,000 in cash awards that will be presented.
‘The Price is Right Live’ coming to Civic Center
LIMA — “The Price is Right Live” is coming to Veterans Memorial Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11. Tickets to the general public will go on sale at noon Aug. 12. Tickets can be purchased at the Civic Center Box Office, online at www.limaciviccenter.com or by calling the Box Office at 419-224-1552.
“The Price Is Right Live” is an interactive stage show that gives eligible individuals the chance to “come on down” and play classic games from the television’s longest running and most popular game show. Contestants can win cash, appliances, vacations and possibly a new car. The show has given away more than $12 million in cash and prizes to audience members across North America.
Genealogical Society hosts workshop
LIMA —The Allen County Genealogical Society will be hosting a workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Allen County Museum, 620 W. Market St.
There will be two presentations: “Finding Women’s Records at the Courthouse” by Jancie Lovelace, Ph.D. and “Tips and Tricks for using Family Search” by Karen Jones.

WTGN celebrates anniversary with comedian
LIMA — WTGN will celebrates its 50th anniversary with comedian Ken Davis. Davis will appear at Veterans Memorial Civic Center at 7 p.m. Sept. 30. Special music will be provided by Ivan Parker.
