LIMA — A Lima man was evidently the target of two separate shootings last week before being hit the second time.
The Lima Police Department received a call at 9:35 p.m. Friday about several shots being fired in the North West Street area. Officers arriving found that James Allen, 23, was at the McDonald’s on North West Street and had suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the foot. He was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center.
Reports from witnesses led the police to 433 Lewis Ave., where three suspects were arrested: Dominic Potts, 20, DeaMonte Godsey, 19, and Aaron Kohl, 19.
An officer at the Lima Police Department said that all three would likely face felonious assault charges, but charges had not yet been filed pending the completion of the investigation.
Allen apparently was the target of a shooting the day before. On Thursday, there was a report of a shooting at 4:30 p.m. in which Allen was also the target.
Investigators said they believed the two shootings were connected.
