VAN WERT -- Van Wert High School senior Chris Morrow has given his verbal commitment to play his college basketball for Coach Jim Crutchfield at West Liberty State College in West Liberty, WV.  West Liberty is a member of the NCAA Division II and is currently undefeated and ranked 10th in the nation.  “I chose West Liberty due to the small campus atmosphere and an outstanding communications program,” Morrow said.  Morrow also felt the style of play and the quality of the coaching staff were determining factors in his final decision.  “The players there are very talented, and the style of play fits where I am at as a player,” Morrow added. Morrow, the 2006-07 VW-Area Player of the Year, is currently leading his team averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds per game for the  9-3 Cougars.  Chris is the son of Diana and Mike Morrow of Van Wert, and is the grandson of Kalida’s legendary coach Dick Kortokrax.   Chris plans to study communications with a media concentration at West Liberty.
